Talk about excellent service! I hate to say anything negative because the people do not deserve that. When I was rushing to a standby flight later that afternoon she ran out of Grindstone, the coffee shop, and brought me my tea. One young lady even remembered I had paid and asked for hot tea in the morning but when I realized the time, I asked her if I could get it in the afternoon. They were thoughtful and remembered details I likely would not have. Every person who worked here was kind and wonderful. I was put in this hotel as a business traveler. It seems the hotel staff needs to make some periodic checks around the front or have video monitors inside so they are aware if people are possibly disrupting guests. When we left the hotel about 3:30 am (as quietly as we could) there were a some men congregated in front of the hotel talking who kind of stared us down as we made our way to our car which was a little uncomfortable. The noise stopped fairly soon after so I assume a hotel employee asked them to go inside. It went on for at least an hour before we finally called the front desk to let them know we couldn't sleep. We went to bed early due to wanting to get some good sleep before a very early flight and were awoken about 11pm by a group of men out in front of the room who I think had the room beside ours but decided to stand on the balcony and talk and laugh very loudly. We did walk around in early evening and found a good restaurant right across the street. Neighborhood isn't too bad although I'd probably not wander around at night. Good value for a very clean, updated room.
